College Campus

Colleges are typically selected based on previous year’s contacts, students’ performance and recruiter’s feedback on the college. New cities and new colleges are added to this campus hiring pool based on criteria including NAAC accreditation, infrastructure, and number of eligible students. For more information write to:

College authorities need to ensure final year students are informed well in advance about the recruitment drive. Students must carry the following:
- Their updated resume
- Two identical passport photographs
- Syntel Admit Card

Colleges must also ensure to provide the following:
- A projector with a screen and audio
- A hall with seating capacity of 500
- Six to eight classrooms

College Student

We hold three rounds of interviews:

Online Aptitude test:
In this, we evaluate candidates for basic aptitude skills, such as problem solving, numerical calculation, reading comprehension, computer usage, and eye for detail. The test format consists of 3 sections & the time allocated to each section is maximum 20 minutes. There will be three modules/sections within the exam coming after one another in a total span of 60 minutes.

These sections are:
Verbal Ability, Analytical Ability and Numerical Reasoning.

Each section will be a timed section of 20 min; candidates are requested to answer as many questions as possible within the allotted time, for each section. Once a section is closed candidates will not be allowed to go back to the section.

Candidates should try and attempt the maximum number of questions. There is no negative marking.

Group discussion and HR interview:
The main parameter we check in this round is communication skill – both written and oral. The candidate’s skills in writing emails and essays are also tested.

Technical interview:
This round is an in-person, face-to-face round. Here, a candidate’s willingness to work and ability to work in a 24/7 work environment is evaluated along with basic technical details and candidate’s key strengths and areas for improvement are evaluated.

 - The candidate must be of Indian nationality.
- The candidate must have completed 18 years of age.
- The candidate must be graduating in the year 2013/2014.
- The candidate must be willing to work in a 24/7 work environment, anywhere in India during the training.

No, the documents should only be scanned and uploaded on the URL/link provided.

Yes, the following documents are mandatory.
A - Final semester mark sheet/consolidated mark sheet.
B - Passing Certificate/Degree Certificate/Provisional Certificate/Course Completion Certificate.

Login ID and password are mentioned in the background verification e-Mail, you can also write an email to with the subject line ”Forgot Password”, mentioning the same email id as mentioned on your submitted CV.

You need to login on the link provided below and upload the background verification documents

You are required to provide the details of one person, not related to you, as a reference.

You need to upload only the final semester/consolidated mark sheet of your highest educational qualification.

In case you have submitted incorrect / incomplete documents, please login again, go to the ‘other details’ section and delete the wrong documents uploaded and re-upload the correct documents.

While uploading the documents you have to select ‘document type’ in ‘other details’ section and then click on ‘browse’, select the right file and click on ‘upload’. (If one form has multiple pages then follow the process again).

It is not possible to change the date of joining or the location. Additionally we may not be able to provide the candidates with any future joining date/location, in the case their current joining date as communicated, lapses.

Candidates can only avail the accommodation facility, 1 day prior to their joining date, as mentioned in the accommodation email.

Yes. LOI and joining e-Mail are mandatory documents that have to be presented at the time of joining.

The transport facility will be provided for the candidates to travel to and from the Syntel office free of cost for the first 7 Days, post which the candidates have to contact the Syntel travel desk.

Accommodation details will be emailed to the candidates a minimum of 3 days before the date of joining.

No, the facility has been provided by Syntel for the outstation candidates free of cost. Candidates residing in the same city as the joining location cannot avail of this facility. This facility can only be availed for a maximum of 7 Nights & 8 days and only on the dates mentioned in the accommodation emails.

No, candidates will have to manage transportation to the guest house / Syntel office on their own.

Candidates must carry all the original documents and 2 photocopies of each of the following documents on the date of joining.

Yes, the Accommodation facility is separate for male and female candidates.

Placement interviews last anywhere between 5‐6 minutes to 30‐40 minutes. However, candidates should not draw any conclusion on their interview result based on the duration of the interview.

There are 3 rounds of interviews (All rounds are elimination rounds)
 - Group Discussion >> HR Round >> Technical Round >> Documentation process.
 - The HR and Technical round may be conducted separately or simultaneously by a panel.

Candidates are requested to carry:
 - All original certificates (beginning from your Xth / SSC)
 - 1 Set of self-attested photocopies of mark sheet (in case they are required by the Interview Panel)
 - Certificates pertaining to extracurricular activities

An interview is a formal occasion and candidates are expected to attend the same in a formal

The place of posting could be at any one of the Syntel locations i.e. Pune/Mumbai/Chennai. The allocation of the joining location is entirely dependent on the requirement of Syntel and is at its sole discretion.
