Job Profile

  • Filing vendor invoices, expense reports, payroll  reports, deposits and other finance documents
  • Scanning finance documents
  • Sorting and distributing mail for Finance
  • Mailing  payroll, vendor, expense checks & other finance documents
  • Collecting Fedex, mail for office
  • Responsible for communicating with US based employees towards resolution of their queries pertaining to expense reports by coordinating with Global Finance (after office hours coordination required)
  • Responsible for communicating with US vendors  towards resolution of their queries pertaining to vendor invoices by coordinating with Global Finance (after office hours coordination required)
  • Responsible for communicating with Global Finance on various finance related issues  (after office hours coordination required)
  • Responsible for planning and processing Peoplesoft pay-cycles to print the checks
  • Responsible for coordinating with signers for check signature by attaching documents and coordinating for query resolution with Global Finance.

Analyst Programmer (Code: AP)

  • Work on coding/unit testing/system testing and support activities.
  • Ensure coding is in compliance with defined set of standards followed by project/client.
  • Adherence to quality processes and quality standards defined for project/client/Organization.
  • To work on daily/weekly/monthly reports on different stages of the activities/tasks, if leading any team.
  • To report activity progress to immediate reporting lead/reporting manager.
  • Involve in requirement gathering, analysis, design and effort estimation in consultation with reporting lead/reporting manager for the assigned area. 
  • To plan and allocate tasks to different members of the team, if leading any team.
  • To guide team at different stages and when team members faces any Technical or Business problems.
  • To review task assigned to members and ensuring it’s meeting quality standards.

 Project Lead (Code: PL)   

  • To lead a project team which is assigned module/ activity/ tasks/ deliverables.
  • Work on estimates and allocate resources to a particular task in consultation with reporting lead/reporting manager.
  • To prepare schedule for tracking of the tasks. Conduct regular/periodic team meetings to provide project specific plan and status update.
  • To review work of team members, ensure that it is as per the laid down specifications by project/client, and meets the desired quality standards.
  • Provide technical know-how, support, mentoring & coaching team members on technology, business & other project specific aspects.
  • Provide project specific performance feedback to its team members.
  • Work on training needs identification for its team members.
  • To maintain different database such as of resource allocation sheet, checklist for testing and coding and prepare monthly Metrics.
  • Responsible for project review, escalations, quality assurance, tasks completion, delivery of the tasks, customer interface & project status reporting for the project.
  • Interpersonal skills, Counseling/ motivating team and addressing their concerns.

Project Manager (Code: PM) 
Manage the project both in terms of people as well as technology.

  • To consult and review with the delivery manager to determine project deliverables, project plan, project staffing, scheduling, project time frame,
  • identification of risks, contingency plans, resource availability, quality process for accomplishing the project milestones during various phases of the project, if the project involved development or is a major enhancement. For other Support projects determine project deliverables, identification of risks, contingency plans, resource availability, quality process.
  • To monitor project status, prepare status reports, maintain timesheets, project review report, onsite/offshore coordination, employee rotation, adherence to quality processes/standards, handle customer interface, review customer satisfaction, & take sign off from customer upon project completion.
  • Coaching, mentoring team on technical/business specific aspects & Motivating team members to continuously deliver quality deliverables.
  • To conduct regular/periodic team meetings to review project status and project specific plans.
  • Provide continuous feedback to team members and plan appropriate training programs for their growth in terms of role/technology/domain expertise keeping project/client/organization specific requirements.
  • Ensure basic project specific infrastructure is organized/arranged for its team members working on the project.
  • Minimize exposure and risk across multiple projects.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Coordinating with other departments for requirements.
  • Interpersonal skills, Counseling/ motivating team and addressing their concerns.

Account Manager (Code: AM)

  • Has good understanding of domain, multiple technology frameworks, executed several medium to large sized projects, and handled multiple projects/teams in onsite/offshore execution model including contracts and project specific service level agreements (a.k.a SLAs). 
  • To establish and develop an execution framework, which fits the strategic direction and enables to meet its growth targets [annual / quarterly] that have been projected for the account in conjunction with the Delivery Director, Sales Team & BU Head.
  • Responsible for efficient/effective project delivery within specified cost, timeframe, & quality thru very good project management & implementation of other best practices in the industry.
  • To identify, allocate and manage resources required in fulfilling the business plans in terms of delivery & customer expectations.
  • Planning and driving project delivery and bottom line target achievement thru constant monitoring of the execution, health, and exception tracking and handling of projects.
  • To provide both technical & business guidance to the execution team, resolve internal/external escalations, resource planning, skills building, & manage team feedback/performance management.
  • Accountable for establishing a customer service culture within the team in order to maximize the potential for delivering quality products and services.
  • To provide account specific status reports to Delivery Director/BU Head. 
  • Liaison with Onsite Engagement Managers for Customer Relationship Management.

Delivery Director (Code: DD) 

  • To build up the current client accounts/projects into specialized Domain areas leading to Verticalization.
  • Coordinate internal and external business and technical resources to define project objectives, tasks and deliverables for all the projects.
  • To form a vertical wide strategy to grow the business in each of specialized domain areas.
  • Build strong client relationships and appropriately manage client expectations
  • Responsible for meeting the current business plans as well as utilizing resources for meeting the challenges of the future.
  • Responsible for Overall Budgeting, Infrastructure, Physical & Technical Resource allocation Plan for A/C level growth.
  • Planning and driving bottom line target achievement thru constant monitoring of account growth, analyzing project metrics, account strategy, onsite/offshore mix, revenue realization, and gross/net margins.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with team; facilitates project review sessions at the close of each project.
  • Responsible for interviewing and approving candidates to be staffed on team.
  • Provide review, authorization and maintenance of third party contracts, service level agreements and financial payments.
  • Act as an escalation point for the customers during emergency situations requiring immediate attention and resolution.
  • Involved in senior level movements, client meetings, employee retention, HR issues, performance management, customer satisfaction reviews,
  • Report account level various status periodically to BU Head.

Business Analyst (Code: BA) 

  • To gain an understanding of the business environment it’s impacting constituents and translates the same for the Technical Team at Syntel.
  • To map the business workflow, detect and incorporate certain additional areas that will result in a robust IT Systems architecture.
  • To ensure quality standards [organization & clients] have been adhered to; customer processes have been followed in the systems architecture design phase.
  • To integrate workflow & standards in consultation with IT Team.
  • To comply and subscribe to both organization and the clients specification with respect to systems, procedures and organization policies and requirements.
  • To manage Customer expectations effectively and efficiently.
  • Create and maintain user documentation to support training and testing.
  • Review parameter/business rules change requests for accuracy, completeness and compliance.

Database Administrator (Code: DA) 

  • Involved in organizing and managing computer data to ensure integrity and availability.  
  • Ensure computer server environments are functioning properly and that any development or modifications are consistent with the organization’s computer architecture.  
  • Plan and install upgrades to database management systems to maximize performance of computer systems.
  • Design and modify databases as per user requests and system requirements.
  • Monitor system performance, establish and implement backup (logical & physical, Hot & Cold) and recovery processes.
  • Establish data security and integrity, and manage disk space.

Database Architect (Code: DR) 

  • The Data Architect will provide technical consulting in the identification of data sources, data decomposition, and design for operational data stores and data warehouses to support business objectives.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing design principles and associated data management and delivery requirements.
  • Knowledge of transactional (ODS) modeling, dimensional modeling, data warehouse design, data marts, and development of data structures is preferred. 
  • Knowledge in developing and delivering OLAP and ROLAP based business intelligence applications. 
  • Development and architecture experience utilizing business intelligence tools for the design and deployment of data marts supporting enterprise data warehouses.
  • Knowledge of managing data across n-tier applications.
  • Knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within database management.
  • Knowledge of gathering data mapping requirements and creating mapping documents in detail using commercial data modeling software.
  • Working knowledge of maintaining and publishing data definitions and business rules.

Technical Writer (Code: TW)

  • Organize material according to set standards regarding order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.
  • Study drawings, specifications, and samples to integrate and delineate technology, operating procedure, and production sequence and detail.
  • Review published materials and recommend revisions or changes in scope, format, content, and methods of reproduction and binding.
  • Interact with technical team to become familiar with product technologies and production methods. Edit, standardize, or make changes to documents. Maintain records and files of work and revisions.
  • Confer with technical team prior to publishing technical specifications and to determine subject material to be developed for presentation.
